Self-Love is simply loving yourself, at every stage. Self-Love is feeling GOOD about yourself and letting the haters & society’s standards fall to the side. Self-Love is doing things that make YOU feel good, and hopefully without lingering guilt.
Self-Love is growing children and loving what our bodies are capable of. Forgetting the “9 months on 9 months off” mentality. Stopping our brains from the self-hate and personal body shaming that we create. Comparing our own journey to others is robbing us of our own celebrations. Every. Single. Time.
Ever look at someone and think, “she really shouldn’t be eating that.” Or “she really shouldn’t be wearing that.” STOP IT. You are contributing to the hate and judgement of the EXACT reasons we feel shitty about ourselves. #dontbeajudgybitch
And maybe you don’t even realize you’re doing it. Maybe she’s eating a donut because DAMN, they’re good. Maybe she wants new boobs, that’s awesome. I do too. Feel like living on protein shakes and salads while running three hours a day? THATS AMAZING and I would celebrate you too! Our own judgements on others are really just our own insecurities. Yet, we never truly know what is going on in someone’s life… so whether it’s the choices they make, food they eat, or as much Botox as they choose- why the f*ck do you really care?
